Microcement
Microcement is a continuous, waterproof, joint-free and incredibly hard-wearing product which is seamless, waterproof, incredibly elegant and suitable for use on walls, floors, ceilings and even furniture both internally and externally.
Uniquely, Microcement is just 2-3 mm and can cover almost any solid surface with the correct primers and (where necessary) crack repair systems prior to install. This can often save significant costs with preparation works and also make microcement a viable beautiful concrete finish in just 2-3 mm, where similar finishes are simply not viable due to their depths of 50 mm plus and costs.
Micro Concrete
MICRO CONCRETE is an unprecedented alternative to polished concrete for floors as it can achieve the same finishes as polished concrete from just 5mm and over just a few days compared to polished concrete which is typically poured at 100mm and takes months to cure before sealing.
Similar to Microcement, MICRO CONCRETE delivers beautiful concrete effect floors but unlike Microcement can also have aggregates added to achieve the desired natural concrete finish. Whilst it cannot be used on walls like Microcement, MICRO CONCRETE can deliver beautifully finished floors at industrial strength in commercial, office and residential settings.
Traditional Polished Concrete Floors
Traditional polished concrete tends to be poured at 100mm (10CM) and left for around 4 weeks to cure before grinding and sealing. This can prove problematic for several reasons as follows:
- Curing time of 4 weeks can cause significant delays in build programme
- Whilst floors are covered any spillage / leaks can cause permanent damage to floors
- Polished concrete floors will always crack. Some people will accept cracks, whether hairline cracks or major cracks but the cracking with polished concrete is uncontrollable.
